West Ham stars ‘demand pay rises’ after learning of Kurt Zouma wage amid cat-kicking scandal

Kurt Zouma is apparently at odds with his West Ham teammates, who recently learned of the defender’s salary as a result of his outrage for animal cruelty.
On Monday, February 7, footage of Zouma kicking his cat across the kitchen floor went viral, causing uproar. The club has penalized the footballer two weeks’ pay for his behavior.
According to some accounts, the money would be sent to animal organizations, but the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or RSPCA, says it will not receive any.
West Ham is under pressure to push for further punishment after his brother, Yoan, was suspended by Dagenham and Redbridge for his involvement.
However, following West Ham fining Zouma, his wages have been revealed, leaving some stars unhappy.
It appears that the West Ham’s summer signing is the highest-paid player at the club, as his two-week wage fine equals £250,000.
According to the Daily Mail, his teammates are unhappy that the Frenchman is earning considerably more than the other stars at the club, and are demanding pay rise.
