The clip has gone viral online, and the incident which took place on the N4 near Witbank is now a police matter. The chilling video captures the sheer, unadulterated fear of the victims, who were snared when these crooks threw rocks on the road and successfully caused a tyre puncture on board the minibus.
As reported by local newspaper, Middelburg Observer, teacher Johan De Plooy had a gun pointed at his chest. One of the robbers pulled the trigger, but miraculously, it didn’t fire. Du Plooy was then struck over the head with the weapon, and although two more shots were fired, no-one got hit.
