After observing the Eid prayers in Abuja, Shettima traveled to Borno where he was warmly received by Governor Babagana Zulum.

Upon his arrival in Borno, Vice President Shettima inspected a Guard of Honour formed by the Nigerian Air Force at the Maiduguri Air Force Base.
