Ariana Madix, actress of Vanderpump Rules, argues that she is still living with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval in order to prevent “uprooting” her dog and aging cat: “I always keep my door locked.”

Ariana Madix, a star of Vanderpump Rules, has defended her decision to continue living with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval, even five months after their separation. Despite the end of their nine-year relationship due to Sandoval’s involvement with her friend Raquel Leviss, they are still residing in the Los Angeles home they bought for $2 million in 2019. Despite criticism from Bethenny Frankel on her Just B podcast, Madix explained that she’s being cautious and not making hasty choices that might negatively impact her financial stability.

Madix emphasized that she’s not wealthy and has financial responsibilities, including a mortgage and other expenses. She clarified that she maintains minimal interaction with Sandoval and has established a setup where her room is her private space. She locks her door as a precaution and feels more secure by not concerning herself with his actions. Although they share a house, she’s managed to create a separate environment for herself.

Responding to questions about her living situation on Instagram, Madix explained that she’s staying in her owned home while working with legal and financial advisors before making any major changes that could disrupt her dog and elderly cat.

While still living with Sandoval, Madix is in a relationship with her new boyfriend, Daniel Wai, whom she describes as having a positive and grounding energy. Wai is supportive and involved in her life, from helping with everyday tasks to empowering her. Madix expressed her happiness with their relationship and emphasized how Wai brings out the best in her, unlike her previous relationships.
