Leaked Memo Raises Eyebrows: A leaked memo titled “Gratuity Computation for Mrs. Maureen Allagoa – (Aa/11272) for the period of service from September 2016 to February 2023 as General Manager and Executive Director, respectively” revealed that the N47 million gratuity payment to Allagoa was approved by herself for the period she served as General Manager and Executive Director.

The memo, dated July 3, 2023, was routed through various levels of authority within the agency.

Senior Management Staff Express Shock: Speaking to SaharaReporters, a senior management staff member in the office of the embattled Managing Director expressed shock at the development, stating that it contravened the agency’s laws.

The source believes that the former Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, is allegedly orchestrating events through his connections within NSITF.

Calls for Proper Investigation and Rescue: Another staff member confirmed the N47 million gratuity payment to the Managing Director and called for a thorough government investigation.

The source also expressed concern about corruption within NSITF under the leadership of the former Minister, Dr. Michael Akabuogu, and the current MD, Mrs. Maureen Allagoa.

Appeal to President Bola Tinubu: The employees urge President Bola Tinubu to come to the aid of the organization before it collapses.

They allege that the current management is taking instructions and reporting to Dr. Chris Ngige, and that union leaders are being blackmailed.
