…By Larry John for TDPel Media. The son of the Director-General of the State Security Service (DSS) Abba Bichi has stated on his Instagram page that the election of Bola Tinubu as President-elect of Nigeria cannot be changed.
Despite the ongoing hearing of the Labour Party’s petition against Tinubu at the Election Petition Tribunal, Bichi remains confident that Tinubu remains the legally elected president of Nigeria and that Peter Obi cannot change this outcome.
He added that even if Obi goes to heaven, he will be sent back to declare Tinubu as the president of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the Action Alliance’s (AA) petition against the victory of Bola Tinubu in the presidential election has been struck out by the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
The party withdrew its petition against Tinubu’s victory during the pre-hearing session of the tribunal.
The leader of the legal team of the party announced the withdrawal of the petition, stating that his client had decided not to continue with the case.
None of the representatives of the other parties opposed the move.
The AA’s presidential candidate, David Okonigbuan, had brought the petition against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC, Tinubu, and Hamza Al Mustapha, challenging his exclusion from the election.
In the petition, Okonigbuan stated that the party also fielded Al-Mustapha as the presidential candidate who was listed by INEC.
Bichi’s comments on Instagram have drawn criticism, as many have pointed out that the outcome of the election petition is yet to be decided and that it is premature to declare the victory of Tinubu.
The tribunal’s decision to strike out the AA’s petition against Tinubu’s victory may be seen as a positive sign for Tinubu’s supporters, but it does not guarantee his victory in the ongoing petition against him.
The outcome of the tribunal’s decision remains to be seen, and it is important to wait for the official verdict before making any premature declarations about the election results.
