Administrators from PwC have been actively seeking to sell off Wilko’s assets, including its brand and stores, after failing to secure a rescue deal for the entire business. PwC anticipates that Wilko’s online operations will recommence under new ownership once the closure of the remaining Wilko stores is completed in early October. The undisclosed deal will also see 36 workers from Wilko’s digital team transitioning to The Range.

Administrators have disclosed the locations of 52 Wilko stores set to close, with the first batch closing on September 12 and the remaining stores closing on September 14. These closures affect communities in various regions across the UK.
