He pointed out the southwest’s support for the late Chief MKO Abiola and the northern support for former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sani concluded that accusing the southeast of fully supporting Obi disregards historical patterns or deliberately chooses to ignore them.

Peter Obi Concludes Presidential Petition Against Tinubu

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate in the 2023 presidential election, wrapped up his legal case on Friday, alleging that the election was manipulated in favor of President Bola Tinubu.

Obi, who secured the third position in the race, presented numerous documents and brought forward 13 witnesses at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.

These documents included voting results and records of Permanent Voter Cards collected before the elections, as well as videos, one of which featured a press conference where INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu promised real-time election results through the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

Despite objections from the Respondents about the admissibility of the documents, the Labour Party concluded its case after the 13th witness testified, deviating from their initial plan to present a total of 50 witnesses.
