“Safety of Nigerians, top priority” – Fire Service new Controller General

The new Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Abdulganiyu Jaji has reassured Nigerians that the safety of their lives, property and environment remains top priority of the Service.

Jaji stated this during his decoration as the new Controller General of the Federal Fire Service in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

He appreciated the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his passion and vision for the Service which he said is contagious.

“For giving us such a robust window as a thriving Agency for the remarkable successes achieved so far, the service can confidently look into the future with hopes and re-assurance that with the backing of the Honorable Minister, we shall together bring our collective dreams to reality by making Nigeria a safe haven from fire and other related emergencies.”

The Controller General also congratulated his predecessors and retired senior officers of the Service for working assiduously to better position the Service for efficient service delivery.

“Your courage, strength, brilliance, dogged tenacity and vision the result of which we are seeing today across the country is worthy of commendation, to our very supportive contractors, the Service appreciates your efforts and I wish you will continually stand by us as in the past.”

The Controller General, therefore, called on the Minister of Interior, guests, senior officers, family and friends, and the media for their co-operation with the service as his success lies in the strength of the country’s unity.

“I am soliciting for everyone’s support by way of prayers, complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work ethics, innovative ideas, discipline, etc.”

According to him, the management of the Service is mindful of the strategic vision of the Service geared towards achieving the Service mandate in the most effective manner.
