It is understood that Martin has already agreed to take up the managerial position at St Mary’s.
Now that the Premier League season has concluded and Ruben Selles has overseen his final game as Southampton’s manager, significant developments are expected in the coming days.
Attention will soon shift towards identifying Martin’s successor at Swansea City.
Sources indicate that former USA national team coach Gregg Berhalter has been considered by the Swans’ hierarchy, while John Eustace is another name that holds appeal within the SA1 boardroom.
Bookmakers currently favor former Swansea coach Chris Davies as the top candidate, although Oscar Garcia, formerly of Brighton and Watford, has also been mentioned as a potential contender.

He has now reemerged as one of the bookies’ favorites.
However, club insiders have expressed doubts about the likelihood of his appointment.
Notably, Jones shares a connection with Paul Watson, whose appointment as sporting director is still pending.
