As Europe sizzles under a heatwave, Penny Lancaster is making the most of it with her husband, Rod Stewart, and their family.
The couple, enjoying a luxurious break on a £50 million yacht in Sardinia, are soaking up the sun and the stunning views.
Penny, 53, looked fabulous in a tiny black halterneck bikini, relaxing on the deck and chatting with family.
Meanwhile, Rod, 79, stayed cool with a T-shirt draped over his head, pairing a lemon yellow shirt with bold shorts.
Penny later swapped her bikini for a floral cover-up as the family headed ashore in a dinghy.
The legendary rocker has gathered most of his family for this lavish trip to Porto Cervo. Joining them are six of his eight children, his baby grandson Otis, and several of his kids’ partners.
Social media is abuzz with sweet snapshots from their getaway, including a heartwarming photo of Penny and Rod playing with one-year-old Otis on the boat, capturing the little boy’s giggles.
Rod and Penny’s sons, Alastair Wallace, 18, and Aiden Patrick, 13, are part of the crew, along with Alastair’s girlfriend Eloise Darlington, 18.
Kimberly, 44, and Sean, 43, Rod’s children from his marriage to Alana Stewart, are also present.
Ruby, 36, Rod’s daughter with model Kelly Emberg, is there with her fiancé Jake Kalic and their son Otis. Renee, 32, from Rod’s marriage to Rachel Hunter, brought along her boyfriend Adam Sumner.
However, Rod’s son Liam, 29, and his eldest daughter Sarah Streeter, 60, were not spotted in the photos.
The Stewart clan is making the most of their time together, enjoying beers in the sun and lavish dinners.
This trip follows a recent interview where Rod and Penny shared the secrets to their successful marriage and how they navigate the challenges of a blended family.
They emphasized the importance of listening to each other and resolving disagreements promptly, keeping their relationship strong.
Building Trust and Humility
Penny recalled meeting Rod in 1999 when she was part of his band, and he was still married to Rachel.
They married in 2007, and Penny was honest with Rod’s six children from the start, earning their trust over time.
Despite their wealth, Rod is determined to keep his children grounded.
Their eldest son, Alastair, drives a used Ford Fiesta, a testament to their values. Rod believes his children appreciate the life they have and understand the value of a dollar.
A Complicated Family History
Rod’s family story is intricate.
He had his first child, Sarah, with Susannah Boffey when he was just 17, and she was adopted. Kimberly and Sean were born during his marriage to Alana Hamilton, which ended in 1984. Ruby, born in 1987 to Kelly Emberg, had a strained relationship with Rod initially but is now a close part of the family.
Rod’s marriage to Rachel Hunter in 1990, credited with breaking his heart, brought two more children, Renee and Liam. After their divorce in 2006, Rod married Penny, who has been instrumental in keeping the family united.
Penny’s Perspective
Penny once said, “Two kids are the perfect number for me, although I always think of us having eight children because all Rod’s kids are so much a part of our lives, like one big extended family.”
This sentiment captures the essence of their blended family, where love and connection transcend biological ties.
