Springboks to Celebrate World Cup Win with Trophy Tour: Find Out When and Where You Can Catch Them

Springboks’ Trophy Tour Route Announced

The South African Rugby Union (SA Rugby) has announced the route for the Springboks’ trophy tour, which will take place from November 2 to 5, 2023.

Gauteng

The tour will start in Pretoria on November 2, with the open-top bus departing from the Union Buildings at 09h30.

The route will then head west to the Pretoria CBD, before transferring to Johannesburg. In Johannesburg, the bus will start at 14h00 at No 1 Jan Smuts Avenue in Braamfontein, before crossing the Nelson Mandela Bridge and heading to Soweto.

The Gauteng tour will conclude when the Boks arrive at FNB Stadium at approximately 15h45.

Cape Town

On November 3, the Springboks will be in Cape Town, where they are expected to appear at the Grand Parade adjacent to City Hall at 11h30.

The bus route will start shortly after 12h00 and will take in the Cape Town CBD, as well as the neighborhoods of Langa and Bonteheuwel. The bus will return to the city centre at around 17h30.

KwaZulu-Natal

On November 4, the Springboks will travel to KwaZulu-Natal for their tour. The bus will start at the Garden Court Hotel in Umhlanga at approximately 09h30, heading towards the Durban City Hall and finally uShaka Marine World, where they are expected at around 13h45.

Eastern Cape

The final leg of the tour will be in East London on November 5. The bus will start and finish at the Garden Court Hotel from 10h00 until approximately 14h00.

Details on the routes will be posted on the Springboks’ social media channels, as well as updates where necessary, as all the routes and timings are subject to change.

People with disabilities are requested to please contact the local municipalities who have planned the routes.

Satellite tours to other population centres in the Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Northern Cape are in the planning stages, with scheduling contingent on players’ club commitments.
