INEC’s Review and Preparations for Off-Season Elections

As part of its post-election activities, INEC is undertaking a comprehensive review of its activities during the 2023 general elections.

The review period, scheduled from July 4 to August 5, includes a meeting with the RECs, where discussions regarding the suspended Adamawa REC, Yunusa Ari, and appropriate actions against him are expected to take place.

Additionally, preparations for off-season governorship elections in Kogi and Imo, slated for November this year, will be discussed.

Conclusion:

Shehu Sani’s claim about the release of electoral offenders has raised concerns about accountability and justice in the aftermath of the 2023 general elections.
