Fortunately, a combined team swiftly intervened, consisting of an OGC Nice psychologist, emergency services, firemen, and military personnel.

Their collective efforts successfully persuaded Beka Beka to abandon his suicide attempt. He is now safe and receiving care.

OGC Nice’s Statement

OGC Nice released a statement addressing the incident, expressing their relief that Alexis Beka Beka’s life was spared.

The club affirmed their commitment to respecting medical confidentiality and urged others to do the same while respecting the player’s privacy.

The statement also conveyed the club’s support for the young footballer.

Beka Beka’s Career at OGC Nice

Alexis Beka Beka made the move to OGC Nice from Lokomotiv Moscow on August 1, 2022, in a transfer valued at €12 million.

Since joining, he has made 22 appearances and scored one goal for the French club. However, in the current season, he has yet to make an appearance. His contract with OGC Nice is set to expire on June 30, 2027.
