The refund will be facilitated through the issuance of promissory notes. The purpose of this reimbursement is to compensate the Borno government for its expenses in constructing federal roads.
Request for Refund Presented to the Senate:
During a plenary session on Tuesday, Senate President Ahmad Lawan read aloud the letter written by President Buhari, outlining the need for the Senate’s approval in refunding the Borno State Government.
The President emphasized that the allocated amount of N16 billion is intended to cover the costs incurred by the state government in carrying out the construction of federal roads.
