The rapper, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, along with his friend Tebello Tibz Motsoane, was fatally shot outside the Wish on Florida restaurant in Durban on February 10, 2023.
The incident occurred as AKA was on his way to perform at the nightclub Yu-Go.

10 February 2023.” He also shared a photo with both Forbes and Motsoane, expressing love for his departed friends. Additionally, Zazboy posted a clip of himself visiting Kiernan’s grave in Westpark Cemetery.
Childhood Friend’s Remembrance
Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh, AKA’s childhood friend, remembered the rapper by posting a picture of their rap group Entity, with a tweet saying, “Rest easy, Kiernan.”
