Orlando Pirates Anticipate More Player Exits as Team Reshuffles Roster for Next PSL Season in Mayfair

Orlando Pirates fans have already seen several beloved players depart, but it looks like even more changes are on the horizon for the team.

So far, the Pirates have officially announced the exit of seven players.

While this is already a significant shift, there are rumors suggesting that five more key players could be leaving Mayfair soon.

The players currently linked to potential exits include Bandile Shandu, Bongani Sam, Sandile Mthethwa, Monnapule Saleng, and Deon Hotto.

According to an insider quoted on SoccerLaduma, there are more names on the chopping block: goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Siyabonga Mpontshane, and midfielders Vincent Pule, Thabang Monare, and Fortune Makaringe.

Interestingly, Ofori, Mpontshane, Monare, Makaringe, and Pule have already left since this report.

Shandu and Mthethwa, however, have recently fallen out of favor with coach Jose Riveiro, indicating that their time with the team might also be coming to an end.

The same report confirmed that these players are not in the plans for the upcoming season.

Planning for the Next PSL Season

With Shandu, Sam, Mthethwa, Saleng, and Hotto all expected to leave, the Pirates are clearly gearing up for a competitive next season in the PSL.

This reshuffling appears to be part of a larger strategy to strengthen the squad.

Kaizer Chiefs Eyeing a Pirates Player?

In an interesting twist, Bongani Sam is rumored to be in talks with rival team Kaizer Chiefs.

Reports from SABC Sport suggest that the Pirates have given Sam the green light to negotiate personal terms with the Chiefs.

Should everything go smoothly, Sam could join The Glamour Boys’ pre-season training camp in Turkey.

High-Profile Exits

Deon Hotto, currently one of the highest-paid players in the PSL, has been linked with a surprise exit from the Pirates.

Meanwhile, Monnapule Saleng, deemed the Bucs’ most valuable player by Transfermarkt, could also be on his way out.

These departures might make room for big-name signings, reshaping the team’s roster for the better.
