Mr. Dayo Temola, representing the Joint Negotiating Council (JAC) at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, released a statement outlining the staff’s decision to potentially go on strike in response to payment issues.

Reasons Behind the Strike Threat

Temola highlighted the non-implementation of the 2019 minimum wage and the non-payment of the N35,000 wage award following the removal of fuel subsidy as key reasons for the strike threat.

The unions expressed dissatisfaction with the alleged delay in receiving financial support from the state government.
