Bayo Onanuga’s Reaction to His New Role:
Bayo Onanuga, the former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), has responded to his recent appointment as the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy.
The appointment, officially confirmed in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, was made to enhance cooperation between the Presidency and Federal Ministries.
Appreciation to President Tinubu and Well-Wishers:
In a post shared via his social media handle, Onanuga expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for showing confidence in him.
He also extended his thanks to the Nigerian people who included him in their prayers and believed that he is well-suited for his new role.
With immediate effect, he will serve as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s special adviser on information and strategy.
A Key Role Transition:
This appointment marks a transition in the role of Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, previously held by Dele Alake, the former Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy.
Dele Alake has moved on to serve as the Minister of Solid Mineral Resources and Steel Development.
Bayo Onanuga’s new role is expected to contribute to enhancing the working synergy between the Presidency and various federal ministries, aligning with the goals of the administration.
