Olu Of Warri Seeks Monument For Okotie-Eboh, NDDC Board Reconstitution

When he paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Ogiame Atuwatse III said this, stressing that the former finance minister had accomplished various milestones.
“As an interested party, we sincerely want a better deal for us in the Niger Delta, as we think charity begins at home,” the king stated.
This means that in whatever we do, we Niger Deltans must prioritize the betterment of our people.
The only way to improve our lives is to prioritize our people.”

“Not one monument is named after Chief Festus Samuel Okotie-Eboh,” Ogiame Atuwatse III stated.
As a result, we, the Itsekiri, formally request that Chief Festus Samuel Okotie-Eboh be honored by naming a fitting memorial to his enormous sacrifice for his beloved country.”
Aside from that, he bemoaned the underutilization of Delta State’s ports, including Warri, Koko, Sapele, and Burutu.
“These ports are underutilized and may contribute significantly to the Nigerian economy and improve regional security by providing jobs for the teeming population of unemployed youths, lowering insecurity in the Niger Delta,” he added.
“We believe this is a win-win situation for Nigeria and the Niger Delta.”
