Supreme Court’s Ruling in President Tinubu’s Favor
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday (today) disclosed what the Supreme Court did for her husband, President Bola Tinubu, during the proceeding on petitions against him by the 2023 aggrieved presidential candidates.
Supreme Court Affirms President Tinubu’s Victory
It’s worth noting that the Supreme Court had recently affirmed President Tinubu as the rightful winner of the February 25th presidential election, dismissing the appeals of aggrieved candidates who challenged the earlier ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Recall that the Supreme Court on October 26, 2023, affirmed President Tinubu as the substantial winner of the February 25th presidential election.
First Lady’s Gratitude and the ‘Lord’s Doing’
In her statement during a campaign rally in Owerri, the First Lady expressed her gratitude and described the Supreme Court’s decision as ‘Lord’s doing.’
She emphasized the significance of this ruling in giving her husband a clean bill of political health.
Speaking, however, in Owerri on Tuesday, the President’s wife, who led All Progressives Congress (APC) women at a campaign rally for the re-election bid of Governor Hope Uzodimma, said the Supreme Court had given Tinubu a clean bill.
She described the court’s verdict as ‘Lord’s doing’.
Promise of Development in the South-East
Senator Oluremi Tinubu also used the opportunity to reiterate her husband’s commitment to making the South East region an industrial hub in Nigeria.
She encouraged residents to support the incumbent governor in the upcoming governorship election in Imo State.
Promoting the candidate of the APC in the November 11 governorship election in Imo State, Mrs Tinubu reassured the residents of Imo of her husband’s promise to make South East an industrial hub in Nigeria.
Oluremi Tinunu said: “You can see, the court has already given my husband a clean bill, and we believe that this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.”
