Discrepancies in Claimed Time:

However, GWR stated that they could not acknowledge Baci’s claim of 100 hours of cooking time due to some discrepancies.

After a careful review of the evidence, her final time was adjusted to 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Official Announcement by GWR:

In their official post, GWR announced, “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.”

During her four-day kitchen stint, the 26-year-old Nigerian chef cooked over 100 pots of food.

The previous record for the longest cooking marathon, lasting 87 hours and 45 minutes, was set by Lata Tondon from India in 2019.
