The operation, deemed successful, unfolded on September 25, 2023.
Intelligence-Driven Action
The operation was initiated following a crucial intelligence report revealing the abduction of an unspecified number of innocent individuals from Kayan Boggo village, located in the Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Swift and Tactical Response
In response to this intelligence, the Special Forces Troops swiftly mobilized and established a blocking position along a suspected route believed to be used by the bandits.
This tactical positioning allowed them to engage with the bandits.
Bandits Forced to Flee
During the operation, the troops engaged the bandits, leading to the neutralization of an unspecified number of them.

Nigerian Army Addresses Delay in Soldiers’ Feeding Allowance Payment
In related news, the Nigerian Army has clarified the reasons behind the delay in disbursing food allowances to soldiers responsible for securing the Zungeru Hydro Electricity Dam Project in Niger State.
The Army has categorically denied allegations of senior officers diverting the three months’ Ration Cash Allowances (RCA) meant for the soldiers.
Explanation for Delay
Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, released a statement clarifying that the delay in payment was due to the receipt of funds from the concerned institution occurring later than expected.
Commitment to Troop Welfare
The statement reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its troops and emphasized its zero-tolerance stance toward any form of financial misappropriation.
This reassurance was made under the leadership of Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
