The new zonal Commander for the newly created zone of the Nigerian Security And Civil Defense Corps, comprising Anambra and Enugu State, Mr. Felix Ogalagu has paid a courtesy call on the traditional ruler of Awka Community, Obi Gibson Nwosu.
Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that while receiving the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp entourage in his Palace, Obi Nwosu appreciated them for the visit, emphasizing that adequate and effective security should start from the grassroot and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp not minding the challenges have been living up to expectations.
Represented by the Traditional Prime Minister of the community, Chief Benjamin Okoye, Obi Nwosu promised that the traditional institution of Awka and the Awka Development Union Nigeria, ADUN, will always make it self-available in assisting the Nigerian Civil Defense Corp and the other security agencies in the state, especially with vital information when needed.
In his remark at the visit, the Commander, Mr. Ogalagu said it was important that he visit the traditional ruler to liaise and familiarize with the traditional ruler on his new role, in order to make the work of security easy within the state.
He solicited the support of the traditional ruler and his cabinet members in the regard of ensuring maximum security in the community and state in a whole.
The entourage also have other senior officers, including Deputy Commanders and host of others among them, was Chief Chidozie Oforah who represented the President General of ADUN and Chief Nwaeze Okoli emphasized that maximum cooperation will be given to the security outfit.
Later, the New Head of Standard Organization of Nigeria, Anambra State Office, Mr. Don-Pedro Ebenezer, alongside his officers also called on the Palace of the traditional ruler to seek his blessings as he assumes duty as the head of the organization in the State.
He noted that it was important to seek the blessings and liaise with the traditional ruler in order to achieve results.
