Neighbours Star’s Big Brother Comeback
Neighbours legend Ryan Moloney has expressed his willingness to return to the Big Brother house, a decade after his appearance on the celebrity version of the reality show.
The actor, known for his role as Toadie Rebecchi, secured the third position in the eleventh series of Celebrity Big Brother (CBB) back in 2013, where he competed against winner Rylan Clark and The Hills power couple, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
Excitement About Big Brother’s Return
Following the exciting news of Big Brother’s return to the UK after a five-year hiatus, Ryan spoke with Daily Star, sharing his enthusiasm about the prospect.
He stated, “Yeah, I’d probably say yes to going back in, why not? When you get locked up in a house, it’s like the rest of the world doesn’t exist. It’s almost like all your bills don’t exist anymore because you can’t pay them.
The biggest challenge is boredom, but it was a learning curve.”
A Different Experience for Ryan
Reflecting on his past CBB experience, Ryan highlighted the unique dynamic in the house.
He mentioned, “All the other people knew each other, or they knew somebody who knew each other, so there was some background relatedness, but I didn’t know anyone.
It was hard to follow their conversations because I was like ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about’ or ‘I don’t know who that is.'”
As of now, ITV has yet to confirm if Celebrity Big Brother will return to screens.
Ryan’s Hopes for Neighbours
Aside from his potential Big Brother return, Ryan also shared his thoughts on the Australian soap Neighbours.
He has portrayed the character Toadie since 1995 and delighted fans when it was revealed he would reprise the role for the Neighbours reboot.
The show returned with a surprising twist, showcasing Toadie’s relationship with Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and their unexpected wedding in the debut episode of the new chapter.
Hoping for Familiar Faces
Ryan expressed his desire for both old and new characters to grace the streets of Ramsay Street. He stated, “I would like to see more new faces, I think, and create some new characters that people will love.
Having said that, I’d love to see Connor come back and Lance.” He pondered the possibility of extending the street or constructing high-risers to accommodate these returns.
Ryan Moloney’s Diverse Pursuits
After Neighbours concluded, Ryan Moloney transitioned into civil construction and is currently involved in building a farm, all while continuing to work on the soap.
Neighbours enthusiasts can catch new episodes for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US.
