…By Alan Peterson for TDPel Media. On the morning of Tuesday, May 30, a devastating fire erupted at a poultry farm shed in Anglesey, resulting in the tragic loss of approximately 8,000 birds.
The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received an emergency call reporting the blaze shortly after 5.50am.
According to North Wales Live, the fire is believed to have originated within one of the sheds on the farm, prompting an ongoing investigation to determine the exact cause.
A spokesperson for the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service informed North Wales Live that they responded to a fire incident at an industrial unit housing poultry at 5.33am.
Fire crews from Amlwch, Benllech, and Menai Bridge were dispatched to the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest that the fire was accidental in nature.
Although an exact figure has yet to be confirmed, it is estimated that approximately 8,000 birds perished as a result of the blaze.
Looking ahead, further updates on the investigation into the poultry farm fire are anticipated.
