Anambra police have detained a man in his early 30s for reportedly killing Chidimma Christopher, his 22-year-old lover.
The suspect, named as Ikenna Asiegbu of the Mgbakwu community in Anambra State’s Awka North Local Government Area, allegedly committed the crime on Saturday, February 4 in Urutolu village in Mgbakwu.
Despite the intervention of their neighbors, he allegedly assaulted the deceased. Chidinma also gave birth to a kid six months ago, according to reports.
