It’s important to note that Lloyd Ikechukwu Ekweremadu’s father, Ike Ekweremadu, had faced legal troubles in the past.
On June 23, 2022, he was charged with conspiring to facilitate the travel of a 21-year-old individual named David Ukpo from Lagos to the UK for the purpose of organ harvesting.
Subsequently, on March 23, 2023, Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, and Dr. Obeta were convicted of conspiring to exploit the young man for his kidney.
