Kenyan police officers demand Ksh 3,000 to move body of elderly woman who died alone in Korogocho slums (VIDEO)

A social media user has chastised police officials for allegedly refusing to relocate the body of an old woman who died in her shanty hut in Nairobi’s Korogocho slums.
Since KPLC switched off electricity in the slums and seized all the transformers, the ill woman is alleged to have perished alone in the dark.
Since the area MCA died a few weeks ago after a long illness, the locals are living in complete darkness, and no one is speaking out about their predicament.
When police officers were called by the residents to pick the woman’s body and take it to the mortuary, they demanded for a bribe.
“She died alone in DARKNESS! Korogocho has no MCA he died a few weeks ago, it has no power KPLC took ALL their transformers.
” Police demanded 3000 to move her body. But we say this county has a sitting MP, Senator, Governor & President,” the concerned social media user wrote on Twitter.

Below is a heart-breaking video of the deceased woman.
