The anticipation among Kaizer Chiefs supporters for the 2024/25 season is palpable.
While the new season kicks off in August, the first order of business is the crucial pre-season training, which this year is set to begin in Turkey.
Kaizer Chiefs’ Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., shared insights about the overseas journey, emphasizing its importance for the team.
According to Motaung, the pre-season camp in Europe is designed to foster team unity and prepare the squad mentally for the challenges of the upcoming season.
“The key aspect of a pre-season camp is to ensure that the team builds cohesion and mental readiness for the season ahead,” Motaung explained.
He highlighted that for a team to thrive, especially with a new coaching structure, it’s essential to assess and understand the team dynamics away from their usual environment.
Injury Setbacks for Key Players
Unfortunately, some players won’t be making the trip to Turkey due to injuries.
Dillan Solomons, George Matlou, Ashley du Preez, Mduduzi Mdantsane, and Tebogo Potsane are all sidelined.
Additionally, Itumeleng Khune, who is currently out of contract, is not joining the camp.

As the team gears up for the new season, fans are eagerly waiting for official announcements regarding the new coaching team and any new signings.
Although coach Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team have yet to be officially introduced, the club’s management is committed to making the necessary changes for a successful season.
In their latest statement, the club emphasized their determination to turn things around and improve performance.
They assured supporters that the management and technical team are working diligently to ensure a strong start to the season.
