As the Soweto heavyweights try to repair their mistakes from the January transfer window, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have set their sights on some quality players.
After failing to buy any players during the previous January transfer window, the Soweto giants are aiming to overhaul their squads.
They’re now trying to beef up their lineups, and these are the players they’re after:
BUC BRINGING THE BIG BOYS
According to recent rumors, pirates are after Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams.
The Buccaneers aren’t the only ones after goalkeepers, with TS Galaxy’s Melusi Buthelezi garnering interest from the Soweto heavyweights.
Finally, Goal reports that Pule Mmodi is a target for both Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Bafana Bafana international has performed admirably. As a result, he has gotten a lot of attention.
CHIEFS CHOOSE QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
Several players will be released by Amakhosi in the next months.
Samir Nurkovic, Leonardo Castro, Lazorous Kambole, and Bernard Parker are all leaving Naturena right now. Nurkovic has not provided the consistency that Chiefs and Kaizer Motaung are looking for in the future.
The Chiefs are in desperate need of a prolific goal-scorer who can average double-digit goals each season.
There are various options they might explore, including Bradley Grobler. He hasn’t been able to replicate the clinical finishing that earned him multiple Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot accolades.
