Ihedioha shuns Imo PDP flag-off, Anyanwu vows to restore good governance

The sacked Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, was surprisingly absent at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag-off of the Imo governorship campaign for the November 11 governorship election in the state.

The flag-off ceremony, which took place at the Kanu Nwankwo stadium in Owerri on Wednesday, was attended by the governors of Enugu, Edo and Zamfara states and PDP members from the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.

Also, the party’s National Chairman, Umar Damagum and some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) were present at the event to show support for the governorship candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

In his remarks, Anyanwu promised to restore good governance to Imo State if elected governor.

He said that his party brought the message of positive change to the people of the state and that he had the political experience, zeal and exposure to turn things around for good for the people of the state.
