Mbaka’s remarks alluded to his previous controversy involving Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in 2023.

His critical statement about Obi’s potential election loss due to being “stingy” led to clashes within the Church’s leadership, resulting in disciplinary actions against him.

Return and Reinstatement

After facing disciplinary measures and a period of absence in the US, Mbaka returned to Nigeria in January 2023 and resumed his service at the Adoration Ministry following his earlier clash over prophetic statements.
