Golden Arrows wins Kaizer Chiefs home and away!

Golden Arrows upset Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday, handing them their third consecutive setback.

Chiefs scored through Khama Billiat, while Abafana Bes’thende scored through Siboniso Conco and Michael Gumede to give them the win.

The Chiefs got off to a fast start, with Billiat scoring in the 18th minute after a beautiful play involving Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Leonardo Castro.

And just when the second half was looking good, Njabulo Ngcobo made an error by giving the ball away cheaply beyond the ball.

Conco raced through on goal before beating Brandon Petersen to tie the game in the 60th minute for Golden Arrows.

Gumede connected with Sibiya’s free-kick in the 87th minute to head the ball past Petersen, giving Arrows the lead.

And that’s how the game concluded, with the Arrows on 35 points and the Chiefs in fourth place with 39.

Golden Arrows also made history by completing their first ever league double over Kaizer Chiefs on the day.
