Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed his appreciation for the appointment of Imam Ibrahim Kashim-Imam as the Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
The announcement of this appointment was made by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, indicating that Kashim-Imam is expected to serve a renewable four-year term, as stipulated by the FERMA Amendment Act of 2007.

He commended Kashim-Imam’s ability, excellence, and brilliance. Moreover, he acknowledged the distinguished lineage that Imam comes from, with his grandfather, Alhaji Ibrahim Imam, being a prominent figure in the politics of Nigeria’s First Republic.

Imam’s father, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, is another highly respected member of the family.
He has been involved in Nigerian politics and played a significant role in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential election victory.
His contributions extend to serving as Special Advisor and Senate Presidential Liaison Officer during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s government and later as Chairman of TETFUND in President Muhamadu Buhari’s administration.

Femi Fani-Kayode expressed his confidence in Imam Ibrahim Kashim-Imam, believing that he will continue in the footsteps of his illustrious family members and contribute significantly to the nation.
He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for providing this opportunity to a young and talented individual who achieved a first-class degree in Engineering at Brighton University in the UK, followed by a Master’s degree.
