Eskom has announced that Stage 3 load shedding will be reintroduced, with the possibility of different stages being implemented in the future.

“Stage 3 load shedding will commence at 4:00 PM today and continue until 5:00 AM on Monday. Following this, Stage 1 load shedding will be in effect until 4:00 PM, followed by Stage 3 load shedding until 5:00 AM on Tuesday. This sequence will be repeated daily until further notice. Eskom will issue another update if there are any significant changes.”
Eskom has appealed to the public to turn off non-essential appliances during peak demand hours, especially from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
