Emeka Aguiwu Weds Oluchi Kalu Of ABS In Awka

Governor Willie Obiano was among those that attended the wedding ceremony between Mr. Emeka Aguiwu and Oluchi Kalu yesterday.

Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that the wedding ceremony which took place at Saint Matthews Catholic Church, Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area, was also attended by the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor.

Mr Emeka Aguiwu is the Chief Detail to Governor Obiano while Oluchi Kalu is a staff of the Anambra Broadcasting Service.

The solemnization mass was officiated by the Government House Chaplain, Reverend Father Patrick Okafor.

Speaking shortly after the solemnization ceremony, Governor Willie Obiano who said that he was delighted to be part of the wedding described the Chief Detail Emeka as calm, and urged the couple to endeavour to respect and love each other and prayed God to bless the union.

Earlier in a homily, Reverend Father Michael Onwukike charged the couple to get ready to lay down their lives for themselves and remain dedicated to each other.

While stating that marriage is a permanent partnership, Reverend Father Onwukike asked God to sustain the relationship, urging them to always learn and do their own part, in endurance bearing in mind that nobody is perfect.

Marital vows and exchange of wedding rings between the couples were the highlights of the event.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Dr Uche Nworah, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Intra Party Affairs, Chief Ben Obi, a former Director of Programmes, in the Anambra Broadcasting Service Mrs Kate I.G. Okeke, President Rotary Club of Awka Nnamdi Azikiwe University Rotarian Abuchi Nwozor, the Vice President Radio, Television and Theater Arts Workers Union in the South East Prince Emeka Kalu were among those that attended the event.
