Donald Trump Accuses Kamala Harris of Disliking Jewish People During Controversial Radio Interview Amid Tensions in Israel

In a recent WABC radio interview, former President Donald Trump made a series of inflammatory remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff. During the conversation, Trump accused Harris of harboring negative sentiments towards Jewish people and appeared to support derogatory comments made about Emhoff.

Trump’s comments came amid rising tensions and military conflicts between the Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah, while the Biden administration faces criticism for its support of Israel.

Trump alleged that Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has a deep-seated dislike for Israel and Jewish people.

“You can see the disdain,” Trump remarked. “Number One, she doesn’t like Israel. Number Two, she doesn’t like Jewish people. You know it, I know it, and everybody knows it, and nobody wants to say it.”

The interview took a more contentious turn when Sid Rosenberg, the interviewer, criticized Emhoff by saying, “He’s Jewish like Bernie Sanders is Jewish.

Are you kidding me?” Trump responded with a casual “Yeah” and seemed to agree with Rosenberg’s further comments, calling Emhoff a “crappy Jew” and a “horrible Jew.”

These comments prompted a swift reaction from the Harris campaign. James Singer, a spokesperson for the campaign, denounced Trump’s statements. “America is better than the fear, hate, and despicable insults of Donald Trump,” Singer said.

He emphasized that Vice President Harris is committed to uniting the country and addressing issues constructively, rather than spreading divisive rhetoric.

In response, Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, clarified that Trump was not endorsing Rosenberg’s derogatory views. Cheung accused Harris of promoting anti-Israel sentiments on college campuses.

Trump had previously made similar controversial remarks about Jewish people, including a claim in March that Jewish Democrats “hate Israel” and their own religion.

Emhoff’s Advocacy and Additional Attacks

Doug Emhoff, who is the first Jewish spouse of a nationally elected U.S. leader, has been prominent in advocating against antisemitism.

He has been involved in various initiatives, including placing mezuzahs on the vice president’s residence and leading Passover celebrations at the White House.

Trump also criticized Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, who is Jewish, suggesting that Schumer has shifted his stance on Israel.

Trump’s remarks included an assertion that Schumer has become “a Palestinian,” reflecting his broader criticisms of Jewish politicians.

Harris Campaign’s Final Statement

The Harris campaign reiterated its condemnation of Trump’s remarks. “Donald Trump is hateful, despicable, and should not be our president,” the statement read.

“He roots against America, insults America, and his attempts to score points with Jewish voters by demeaning them are misguided and wrong.”
