Cure Healthcare Innovation Campus Launches XSeed Award to Support Minority- and Women-Led Startups in NYC

Cure, an innovative healthcare campus in New York City supported by Deerfield Management, has initiated the XSeed Award program.

This annual competitive initiative aims to provide crucial support to traditionally underfunded and underrepresented minority- and women-led life science and healthcare startups focusing on drug development within the New York City area.

Supporting Diversity and Innovation:

The XSeed Award offers winning teams the opportunity to receive up to $250,000 each to further their research and entrepreneurial endeavors.

In addition to financial support, awardees will join the Cure ecosystem, gaining access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and entrepreneurship guidance.

This comprehensive support aims to facilitate the transition of promising translational research into successful commercial ventures.

Application Process and Timeline:

Startup teams interested in applying for the XSeed Award have until May 31, 2024, to submit their applications.

Virtual finalist presentations are scheduled for June 28, 2024, with winners set to be announced on Sept. 2, 2024.

The selected teams will be honored at an official ceremony hosted at Cure in October 2024.
