The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in the state, Nuru Abdullahi, has confirmed this development.

Nuru Abdullahi also revealed that the deceased Fulani leader will be laid to rest in Bauchi State. The decision regarding the burial location has been made as preparations are underway to give him a proper farewell.

Location of the Corpse

The corpse of Adamu Idris was located in Dawaki, a community situated in Kanke, another Local Government Area (LGA) within Plateau State.

The spokesperson for the state Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Captain Oya James, has confirmed the discovery of the Fulani leader’s body.

Directive from the Chief of Army Staff

It is noteworthy that on September 27, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, had issued a directive to OPSH personnel to recover the missing Fulani leader’s corpse within 24 hours.

This directive underscored the urgency and importance of resolving the case.

Adamu Idris was declared missing on September 24 while reportedly returning from a visit to the district head of the area, Aminu Darwam.

The Plateau State Police Command, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Okoro J. Alawari, initiated an investigation into the case.
