Cape Town City FC Chairman John Comitis Provides Crucial Update on Nathan Idumba Fasika’s Future in Norway

Cape Town City FC chairman, John Comitis, recently shared some insights on Nathan Idumba Fasika’s future.

Fasika is currently on loan to Vålerenga in Norway, and fans are eager to know what lies ahead for him.

Nathan Idumba Fasika and Fidel Brice Ambina joined the Norwegian club on a loan deal that lasts until December.

Vålerenga holds the option to make the transfer permanent if they find the players fitting their needs.

While Cape Town City has already confirmed the permanent transfer of Ambina, who signed a three-year contract with Vålerenga, the situation with Fasika remains uncertain.

In a conversation with FARPost, John Comitis hinted that Fasika might not return to Cape Town City after his loan spell ends.

However, he emphasized that the final decision rests with Vålerenga.

“Vålerenga will decide what they’re going to do with him,” Comitis said. “I don’t think he’s coming back [upon the end of the loan spell].”

Fasika’s Journey with Cape Town City

Fasika joined Cape Town City in 2021, coming from FC Saint Eloi in Congo, and signed a five-year contract that extends until June 2026.

He quickly became a key player, making 39 appearances and scoring two goals across all competitions.

Despite his strong performances, Fasika faced some challenges with injuries during his time at the club.

Performances at Vålerenga

While on loan, Fasika has appeared in five matches for Vålerenga’s team B and seven matches for the first team.

His contributions have been noted, and the decision on his future with the club is anticipated.

New Signings at Cape Town City

As Fasika and Ambina move on, Cape Town City has brought in several new players to strengthen their squad.

Sibusiso Ziba and Kamohelo Mokotjo are among the new arrivals, set to fill the void left by Fasika and Ambina.

Additionally, the club has signed Fortune Makaringe, Haashim Domingo, Carlinhos, Kayden Francis, Elson Sithole, Lefa Aphane, and Prins Tjiueza.

Looking Ahead

With these new signings, Cape Town City is gearing up for the new season with renewed vigor and a fresh lineup.

Fans are looking forward to seeing how the team will perform with its new additions and what the future holds for Nathan Idumba Fasika.
