British Tourist Kei Hixor Vanishes in Cava de Tirreni, Italy, After Leaving Hospital Without a Trace, Last Apple Watch Signal Near the Coast

There’s growing concern after a British tourist, Kei Hixor, went missing in Italy just four days ago. The last signal from his Apple Watch was detected near the coast, but there’s been no sign of him since.

Kei, a 21-year-old from the UK, vanished on July 13 while in his mother’s hometown, Cava de Tirreni, close to Salerno. He was on vacation with his family when he fell ill on Saturday.

After a visit to the San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d’Aragona hospital, he left around 8pm and hasn’t been seen since.

Kei was last spotted wearing a Nike t-shirt and blue shorts, and he only speaks English. Italian media reports indicate that he didn’t have a mobile phone or any documents with him.

However, he was wearing an Apple Watch, and its final signal was traced to the Salerno coast.

His family quickly reported him missing, prompting a swift response from local authorities.

The search for Kei has expanded into surrounding areas, including Naples.

His cousin, Rita Criscuolo, has made a heartfelt plea on the Cava de Tirreni Facebook page, asking for anyone with information to contact her or the local police.

 Similar Cases in Italy

Kei’s disappearance follows another troubling case in Sardinia, where a 25-year-old Briton named Michael also went missing.

He was last seen on Saturday afternoon near Luogosanto. His mother, Cristina Pittalis, has made a public appeal for help, urging locals to approach him if spotted.

Michael is believed to have disappeared after removing his belongings and is described as being confused and thinner than in photos. Authorities have been searching for him, and his mother is traveling from England to assist in the effort.

Other Missing Persons

The search for Michael is part of a larger effort as three people have gone missing in northern Sardinia since Sunday.

This includes an elderly Italian tourist in Valledoria and Carla Visentin, who disappeared from Cala Lupo in Stintino. Both individuals have health issues, and the search for them has been ongoing.

Authorities are working tirelessly to locate all three missing persons and have called for the public’s assistance. If you have any information or can help with the search, please reach out to local officials.
