Liverpool capped off their United States tour with a convincing 3-0 victory over Manchester United in South Carolina.
Fabio Carvalho set the tone early, scoring in the 10th minute. Just before halftime, Curtis Jones doubled Liverpool’s lead. Kostas Tsimikas added the third goal, finishing from close range after a well-worked team move.
Player Ratings
Liverpool (4-3-3)
Caoimhin Kelleher – 8
It must be tough for Kelleher, knowing he’s playing exceptionally well in pre-season but will likely be replaced by Alisson on the first matchday. He made crucial saves against Mount and Rashford, earning him the man of the match award.
Conor Bradley – 7.5
Bradley had a standout game despite a minor frustration moment in the first half. His contribution to Liverpool’s third goal was a highlight.
Jarell Quansah – 7
Quansah had a mixed performance, getting beaten by Rashford at one point. However, he’s shown enough promise to be a contender for a starting spot in the Premier League opener.
Ibrahima Konate – 6
Konate’s debut under Slot was shaky at first, with some heavy touches. However, he settled in as the game went on and will need to prove himself further this week.
Kostas Tsimikas – 7.5
Tsimikas had a solid tour, including scoring Liverpool’s third goal here. Despite a previous mistake against Arsenal, his overall performance has been strong.
Curtis Jones – 6.5
Jones is thriving under the new boss, finding the system suits him well. Though he had a few loose touches, he capped off a good fortnight with a goal from a determined run.
Ryan Gravenberch – 7
Making his first appearance of the tour, Gravenberch played a deeper role than usual. It was a promising performance after a mixed debut season in the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah – 7.5
Salah continued his impressive form, constantly causing problems for Manchester United’s defense from the right wing.
Harvey Elliott – 7.5
Elliott’s performances have been a major positive this tour. He looked excellent in the No 10 role, driving the team forward, although he sometimes held on to the ball a bit too long.
Fabio Carvalho – 7
Carvalho is making a strong case to stay in Liverpool’s plans this season. His goal was well-taken, and his dribbling past Casemiro was impressive. However, he occasionally faded from the game.
Diogo Jota – 7
Jota played a key role in Liverpool’s opener by keeping the ball alive. His performance suggests he could be Liverpool’s No 9 for the start of the Premier League season.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6
Wan-Bissaka had some good attacking runs but was unlucky with both Liverpool goals, with the ball deflecting off him and nearly intercepting Jones’ goal.
Victor Lindelof – 5
Lindelof struggled against Liverpool’s quick forwards and couldn’t handle their pace effectively.
Jonny Evans – 5
Evans, at 36, isn’t a regular starter but will be needed due to the injury of new signing Lenny Yoro. His performance here was less than stellar.
Harry Amass – 6
Amass had a decent pre-season and will be considered for the Community Shield final, though he had a tough time against Salah.
Casemiro – 4
Casemiro’s performance was below par, as he was easily beaten for Liverpool’s opener by Carvalho’s clever play. His pace is a growing concern.
Toby Collyer – 6
Collyer showed good energy as a box-to-box midfielder and gave Ten Hag another option for the season ahead.
Amad Diallo – 6.5
Diallo had some bright moments and looked confident, though his end product was lacking.
Mason Mount – 7
Mount had a solid game, playing just behind Sancho. He had a couple of good chances early on but couldn’t convert them.
Marcus Rashford – 7
Rashford was United’s most dangerous player, especially in the first half. He looked lively and created several chances, though Kelleher made some good saves.
