Anambra Women Affairs Commissioner Mezue Buries Step – Mother, Mrs Louisa Anozie At Ozubulu Ekwusigo Council Area

Life is worth celebrating when one attained a ripe age before transition to the world beyond.

This was what transpired at Umuokpanilo, Egbema Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, during the funeral ceremony of Late Mrs Louisa Anozie who till her exit was the step mother of the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue and died at the age of ninety-three.

Late Mrs Anozie, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother was a member of different women groups in Catholic Diocese of Nnewi and oldest in her kindred.

In a homily during the funeral mass, Reverend Father Ben-Mark Mmaduka of Sacred Heart Parish Ozubulu, said that what is required in a life of a Christian is righteousness and uprightness cautioning against anything that will cause someone to loose eternity.

He noted that despite the age of Late Mrs Anozie, she kept the faith and did not toil with the service of God asking the congregation to strive hard and do away with anything that does not please God so as to be at the right-hand side of God when the heavenly trumpet will sound.

While commiserating with the family, Sir Linus Mezue of Ukpo, Dunukofia Council Area and his wife Lady Ndidi Mezue who is the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Anambra state, said the deceased lived a fulfilled life filled with good virtues, stating that she accommodated every child to the extent that no one will know her own children and others, praying for the repose of her soul.

The son of the deceased, Mr Augustine Anozie recounted the life lived by his mother till her exit, noting that she was a hard-working woman loved by all due to her selfless service and philanthropic nature even as he noted that her co-wives will miss her because of the roles she played in directing their paths.

Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that the burial was attended by some top government officials, APGA members and some women groups which included Society for Women Council, ASATU Women Wing and hosts of others while condolences  by friends and sympathizers featured at the burial.
