Anambra State Disability Rights Commission Moves To Achieve Mandate

Anambra State Disability Rights Commission which was Inaugurated by Governor Willie Obiano on the first of this Month, has set out measures aimed at achieving its mandate.

 

The commission which has Mr Chuks Ezewuzie a lawyer, as Chairman was set up to consolidate the achievements of Governor willie Obiano.

 

Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that the commission has ten members selected from across all the sectors as it concerns persons with disability in Anambra State.

Speaking to the ABS shortly after its meeting in Awka, the Chairman of the Commission, Mr Ezewuzie expressed satisfaction with the commitment of members.

 

He noted that the future is great for persons with disability in Anambra State as the commission is set to record achievements for improved living standards of the disability community in the state.

Mr Ezewuzie who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Disability Matters explained that Governor Obiano is passionate about the welfare of persons with disability in Anambra State which according to him gave rise to the commission targeted at consolidating his achievements in the disability community.

 

He said that their aim is to have more effective inclusion of the disability community and to ensure that the disability community contributes to the growth and development of the state through hard work.

 

On their parts some members of the Commission, including, the Chairman, Anambra State Sports Development Commission, Chief Tony Oli and the Chairman Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter, Bishop Moses Ezedebego who expressed happiness in serving the state in that capacity assured of achieving their mandate.
