Last night, chaos erupted in one of Britain’s most deprived communities, as far-right extremists set fire to a ‘library of the future’ that also serves as a food bank.
This shocking incident occurred during a riot that swept across Liverpool, leaving Spellow Lane Library Hub in ruins.
Around 300 people gathered on County Road in Walton, just a few miles from Liverpool’s city center, around 8 pm.
The riots led to the arrest of 23 individuals.
One officer was knocked off his motorbike, while others faced demonstrators kicking riot shields.
Spellow Lane Library Hub, which opened last year, was meant to provide educational and employment opportunities for the community.
