On Tuesday evening, TS Galaxy rolled into Kanyamazane Stadium for their final practice before the big clash against Yanga from Tanzania in the Mpumalanga Premier’s International Cup.
However, there was one glaring omission: head coach Sead Ramovic was nowhere to be seen.
Ramovic, who’s been the subject of intense speculation linking him to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca, has been missing from the team’s training sessions over the past couple of days.
This absence has only fueled rumors that he might be on his way out of TS Galaxy.
Even though Josef Zinnbauer has recently stated his commitment to Raja, it’s widely expected that the club might part ways with him.
Zinnbauer, who led Orlando Pirates to a league and cup double last season, is rumored to be heading towards a new opportunity in the Middle East.
A New Coach on the Horizon for TS Galaxy
Meanwhile, TS Galaxy’s president, Tim Sukazi, is said to have already lined up a successor for Ramovic.
We’re expecting an official announcement soon, and this new coach might just be in charge for their upcoming game against FC Augsburg from Germany this Saturday at Mbombela Stadium, wrapping up the Mpumalanga Premier’s International Cup.
Tim Sukazi Speaks on Ramovic’s Move to Raja Casablanca
TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi confirmed to SABC Sport that Sead Ramovic is indeed heading to Raja Casablanca.
“It’s a done deal.
Ramovic is set to leave after the friendly with Yanga FC, and he’ll be taking his two assistant coaches, Beganovic Adnan and Kodro Mustafa, along with goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia,” Sukazi said.
This announcement clears up any lingering doubts about Ramovic’s future.
Sukazi also emphasized the club’s ethos of supporting their staff in seeking better opportunities.
“We’ve always supported our players moving on for better prospects, and our coaches are no different.
Raja Casablanca is among the top clubs in Africa, and it’s a rare opportunity for any coach to be head-hunted by them.”
Sukazi concluded with best wishes for Ramovic, acknowledging the significant move for him. “We extend our blessings to Coach Sead Ramovic and view his new role in Morocco as an extension of our family there.”
