Nigerian singer and former signee of Mavins Records, Hadiza Blell, who is better known as Di’Ja, recently clarified that she had never left the label’s founder, Don Jazzy.
The 39-year-old artist took to Twitter on Monday to respond to a fan’s inquiry.
The fan had questioned the reason for Di’Ja’s departure from Don Jazzy’s label, speculating that if she had stayed, she might have achieved even greater success than another female artiste, Tems, has achieved to date.
In her response to the fan’s query, Di’Ja emphasized, “I never left.
Kindly know this.
Life happens and we are grateful for all the love and happenings.
God bless Tems, and I need her to get bigger.”
In addition to her response, Di’Ja shared videos showcasing the gifts she received for her birthday, including a cake from Mavin Records.
Expressing her gratitude, she tweeted, “Thank you to my family, friends, and family at Mavin for my cakes.
I must gain weight this year,” offering a light-hearted comment on the occasion.
Di’Ja became part of Mavin Records back in February 2014, marking her entry with the release of a single titled ‘Yaro’.
Throughout her time with the label, she collaborated with fellow Mavin artists on tracks such as ‘Dorobucci’, ‘Adaobi’, ‘Looku Looku’, and ‘Arise’.
As Di’Ja continues her journey in the music industry, her recent tweets and interactions with fans shed light on her ongoing relationship with Mavin Records and her aspirations for fellow artists like Tems.
