PDP Dissolves Executive Committees in Ebonyi and Ekiti States, Calls for Unity

…By Larry John for TDPel Media. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the dissolution of the party’s executive committee in Ebonyi and Ekiti States.

This decision was confirmed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in a statement released on June 8, 2023, in Abuja.

The dissolution was carried out in accordance with the party’s constitution, specifically Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)€ as amended in 2017.

Call for Unity in Ebonyi and Ekiti States

Debo Ologunagba, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, urged all leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the PDP in Ebonyi and Ekiti States to remain united and focused.

The dissolution of the executive committees should not distract them from the tasks ahead.

Lawmaker Defects to PDP in Adamawa

Alhassan Hammanjoda, the representative of Ganye Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

During the plenary session on Wednesday, Hammanjoda presented a letter announcing his defection and stated that it was a result of consultations, self-conviction, and the support of his followers.

He praised the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration in Adamawa State and expressed his gratitude to his former party for the opportunity to serve his constituency for eight years.

Welcoming the Defector

Speaker Aminu Iya Abbas, in welcoming Alhassan Hammanjoda to the PDP in Adamawa State, encouraged him to continue supporting the party.

The speaker acknowledged Hammanjoda’s decision and expressed confidence in the ruling PDP’s leadership in the state.
