…By Alan Peterson for TDPel Media. The UK government has confirmed the dates for a one-off £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment, which will benefit approximately six million individuals across the country.
The payment aims to provide financial support to those on specific disability benefits.
Automatic Payments Scheduled between June 20 and July 4:
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced that the majority of eligible recipients will receive the payment automatically.
This process will take place over a two-week period, commencing from June 20 and concluding on July 4.
This payment follows a previous £150 payment made in September.
Automatic Payment into Accounts:
The Liverpool ECHO reports that the Disability Cost of Living Payment will be directly deposited into the accounts of qualifying individuals.
Recipients do not need to take any action to receive the payment.
Exceptions for Delayed Payments:
A small percentage of individuals may receive their payments after the scheduled dates mentioned above.
This delay may occur for claimants who were still awaiting confirmation of their eligibility or entitlement to disability benefits as of April 1.
Additionally, pensioners can anticipate further payments of £300 later this year.
Eligibility Criteria for the Disability Cost of Living Payment:
Recipients of various benefits are eligible for the upcoming Disability Cost of Living Payment.
The list of qualifying benefits includes Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment), Armed Forces Independence Payment, Constant Attendance Allowance, and War Pension Mobility Supplement.
